June Gratitudes

Thanks so much for your gifts to our community. By participating in our designated offerings, gift drives, and other outreach efforts, you are making a difference — and you are appreciated. Here are a few notes of thanks we’ve received recently.

Center Against Rape and Domestic Violence (CARDV)

To parishioners of Good Samaritan: Your donation from the February Designated Offering is helping survivors receive services needed to heal and stay safe after enduring life-altering trauma. I am grateful for your thoughtful gift of $1,276.36 and commitment to helping survivors heal. Thanks for your continued support.

To the ECW of Good Samaritan: Your donation is helping survivors receive needed services after a sexual assault. A CARDV advocate connected with the woman at a Sexual Assault Clinic at Albany General Hospital; during the medical exam the advocate provided support, explained options and resources available. Following the exam, the woman received support from an advocate while reporting the crime to law enforcement. The woman continues to access one-on-one advocacy and attends support group meetings to continue the healing process.
