Volunteer at Stone Soup
Looking for ways to participate in God’s nurture of the world? Stone Soup provides a free, hot meal daily to anyone in need, and it needs volunteers.
Stone Soup urgently needs additional volunteers to serve short weekly shiftings, cooking, serving, and cleaning up after meals. Volunteers work with experienced kitchen managers at each meal-site: St. Mary’s Catholic Church, First Christian Church, and Third Street Commons.
Stone Soup asks that volunteers commit to at least one shift per week for a few months at a time. Shifts are available to fit almost any schedule. Volunteers age 65 and older are welcome, and so are young adults age 17 and older (or as young as 14, if working with a parent or responsible adult). All volunteers must be fully vaccinated, boosted, and able to work while masked.
