2019 Pilgrimage to the Holy Land
See the sights that Jesus saw, and literally stand in the places where he stood. November next year, Fr. Simon will be leading a pilgrimage to Israel and Palestine.
The first portion of the journey will be based in Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee. We’ll visit Capernaum, the Mount of the Beatitudes, Cana, Nazareth and Caesarea Philippi, among other places. There will also be an opportunity to reaffirm your baptism in the Jordan River at Yardenit.
The second half of the pilgrimage will be centered in Jerusalem. We’ll have a chance to visit the Temple Mount and the Wailing Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Mount of Olives, and the Garden of Gethsemane. We’ll also make a trip to Bethlehem to visit the ancient Church of the Nativity, get to “swim” in the Dead Sea, and visit Herod the Great’s historic fort and palace at Masada.
