A Message from Rev. Dan Warren

Dear friends,

This Sunday is my last as interim rector, and I’m parting with a grateful heart. It’s been a joy to be with you and the range and depth of ministries here. I’ve never heard the church referred to as an octopus, but Good Samaritan has at least eight arms and is a benevolent creature with big eyes, firm exoskeleton, and soft underbelly.

One measure of health and wellbeing is presence in a community that gives and receives. I’ve occasionally been where I’ve given, or have received, with little reciprocity. That leads to indulgence or burn-out. Here, much is shared. By keeping our worship and prayer central, one and one often makes more than two. We contribute together to a greater Spirit that extends beyond us. There will be a big, empty space in my life for a while.

Yours in faith,
Dan+
