Ushers in Training

In the parable of Jesus, the good Samaritan extended radical hospitality to his neighbor. This hospitality is an important part of our mission at Good Sam, and our ushers are right at the heart of that.

Ushers say hello and hand out bulletins. They notice newcomers, help them feel at home, and give them a welcome packet. When visitors are on their way out, ushers invite them to stay for tea and snacks. They’re the reason the doors are open, the lights are on, and the room is comfortable when we arrive. They look out for people’s needs and express an amazing amount of care.

If your child is interested in joining in this ministry of hospitality, let us know. We’ll provide training and set them up to shadow an experienced adult.
