Ushers
The good Samaritan in the parable of Jesus extended radical hospitality to his neighbor. This hospitality is our mission at Good Sam, and our ushers are right at the heart of it.
Ushers say hello and hand out bulletins. They notice newcomers, help them feel at home, and give them a welcome packet. When visitors are on their way out, ushers invite them to stay for coffee, tea and snacks. They’re the reason the doors are open, the lights are on, and the room is comfortable when we arrive. They look out for people’s needs. They express an amazing amount of care.
